Booking Terms
These terms apply to trips booked through this website, which is operated by Lion Crest Expeditions, a licensed and registered tour operator in Arusha, Tanzania ("we", "us").
1. Prices
Prices are in US dollars per person and depend on the number of people travelling together. They include what is listed under "Included" on each trip page. Some prices contain our estimate of flight, hotel or camp costs; we confirm the final price in writing before you pay anything.
2. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we receive a deposit of 30% of the trip price. The balance of 70% is paid on arrival in Tanzania, before the trip starts. We will never ask you by email to pay into a new or different bank account; before any transfer, confirm our details on WhatsApp (+255 745 740 808).
3. If you cancel
The 30% deposit is not refundable, because it pays for flights, camps and park bookings made for you. Please tell us in writing (email or WhatsApp) if you need to cancel. If serious events at your destination make travel unsafe, we look at each case fairly and may waive this rule.
4. Changes
We try to make any change you ask for, subject to availability. Changes asked for within 25 days of the trip may be treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
5. If we have to change or cancel
Small-plane flights, weather and park conditions can change plans. If a flight is delayed, we adjust the day. If we must cancel your trip for reasons other than your own conduct or non-payment, you receive a full refund of what you paid, or a similar trip if you prefer. Government increases in park fees or taxes after booking are passed on at cost.
6. Your responsibilities
You need a valid passport, a Tanzania visa where required, the compulsory travel insurance policy (mainland Tanzania's or Zanzibar's), and we strongly recommend your own travel and medical insurance including evacuation. Tell us about any health condition that may affect your trip. On safari, follow your guide's and the boat crew's instructions.
