The shortest way to see the Serengeti from Zanzibar, with its best moment included: a sunrise balloon flight over the plains. You fly in, spend two nights in a tented camp and fly back to the beach.
Your guide meets the plane at Seronera with a private 4x4, so every game drive is yours alone. On the second morning you float over the Seronera valley as the sun rises and land for breakfast in the bush.
You stay at Serengeti House of Nature, a tented camp in the Ikoma area, or a similar camp if it is full.

Day 1
Fly to the Serengeti
Zanzibar → Central Serengeti
We collect you from your Zanzibar hotel early for the scheduled light aircraft to the Seronera airstrip, about two hours and often with one stop. Your guide meets you with your private 4x4 and you game drive through the Seronera valley to camp for lunch, then out again until sunset. Light aircraft allow about 15 kg of luggage per person in a soft bag.

Day 2
Balloon at sunrise, game drives all day
Central Serengeti
Before dawn your guide drives you to the launch site near Seronera. You lift off with the sun and drift over the plains for about an hour, then land for a bush breakfast. Your guide meets you there and the game drives continue for the rest of the day. The balloon company decides on the morning whether the weather allows a flight.
