Two national parks close to Arusha, a full day in one and a morning in the other, with a lodge night in between. Skipping the crater's vehicle fee keeps this the lowest-priced 2-day trip we offer.
Tarangire gets the whole first day: elephants, baobabs and the river. Lake Manyara the next morning brings something different, forest full of baboons, hippo pools and a long lake shore.
It suits travellers on a budget, families with young children who prefer shorter drives, and anyone with two days to spare before a climb or a beach holiday.

Questions
Before you book
Why is this cheaper than the crater safaris?
The Ngorongoro Crater has a high vehicle fee and conservation fees. Tarangire and Manyara cost less to enter, so the trip costs less.
Is it good for children?
Yes. The drives between the parks are short and both parks have plenty to see from the vehicle.
Can we add the crater?
Yes, as a third day; see the 3-day Manyara, Ngorongoro & Tarangire safari.
