A short trip with a bit of everything: Arusha's markets on arrival, two great parks, and a last day of waterfalls, coffee and warm springs before your flight.
You arrive, settle in and see Arusha's markets and museum the same afternoon. Then come Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater with a night in Karatu. The last day is spent on Kilimanjaro's lower slopes at Materuni, followed by a swim at Kikuletwa hot springs, and we drop you at the airport in the evening.
All three nights are in mid-range accommodation, sharing a double or twin room.

Your journey
Day 1
Arrival and Arusha town
Arusha
We meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Arusha. In the afternoon a guided city tour shows you the local markets, the Maasai market, the Cultural Heritage Centre and the Arusha museum.
Not included on the arrival day.
Day 2
Tarangire
Tarangire National Park
Pick-up at 7:30 am for the two-hour drive to Tarangire, known for its baobabs and one of the highest densities of elephants in Tanzania. Your guide follows the sightings, often tracking lions, cheetahs and leopards. Lunch is at the picnic site above the Tarangire River, and the game drive goes on until about 5:30 pm, when you drive up to your lodge in Karatu.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 3
The Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro
Breakfast at 6:00 am, then to the viewpoint over the crater and down onto the floor. Black rhino is the hardest animal to find here and the one everyone hopes for. The crater's animals do not migrate, so there is plenty to see in every month. After lunch and an afternoon game drive you climb out and return to your hotel in Arusha.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 4
Materuni and Kikuletwa, then your flight
Kilimanjaro Region
A full day in the Kilimanjaro foothills: a walk to Materuni waterfall with a swim if you like, a visit to a family coffee farm to see how coffee is grown and roasted, and a relaxing swim at Kikuletwa hot springs. In the evening we drop you at the airport.
Breakfast and lunch.
Meals on the arrival day are not included. Hotel and lodge names are confirmed when you book.
