One lap of Kilimanjaro on your own two feet: about 250 km in four running days on the lower slopes, with a support car that carries everything and a guide from the area at your side.
The route circles the mountain below the national park boundary, so you run on farm tracks, village paths and country roads rather than on the climbing routes. You pass coffee and banana gardens in the south, the dry northern side close to Kenya and the wide plains of West Kilimanjaro, mostly between about 1,400 and 2,200 metres.
Four days is a hard target: roughly 60 to 65 km a day, day after day, at altitude and in the sun. It suits runners with multi-day ultra experience. The same lap can be run over 6 or 8 days instead; we plan and price that for you on request.

Questions
Before you book
Do we pay park fees?
No. The lap stays below Kilimanjaro National Park, on village paths and public roads. We check whether any district or local permit is needed for your route and arrange it.
Can I really do it in four days?
Only with real ultra experience: it is about 60 to 65 km a day, four days running, at 1,400 to 2,200 metres. Six or eight running days is the more common choice.
Can my friend drive the car?
Our own licensed driver drives, so the trip is covered by our company and insurance. Your friend is welcome to ride along and help.
When is the best time?
The dry months, about June to October and late December to February. In April and May some paths turn muddy and slow.
