Last-Minute Safari from Zanzibar
Already on the island and wishing you had booked a safari? It may still be possible: a day trip needs very little planning, as long as there are free seats on the small plane.
How it works
- Message us on WhatsApp with your hotel, the dates you are free and how many of you there are.
- We check the plane seats and the park and reply with what is possible and the price, usually within 3 hours.
- You confirm and we send the pick-up time. Our driver collects you from your hotel on the morning of the trip.
Which trips work at short notice
- Mikumi day trip: the easiest. Ask about the shared option, which runs when other travellers book the same date.
- Selous day trip: game drive and boat safari in one day.
- 2-day Mikumi or 2-day Selous: if you can spare a night away from your hotel; we also need to find a free room in the camp.
What we cannot promise
Next-day trips are sometimes possible and sometimes not: it depends on free seats on the small planes, which also carry other travellers. The sooner you message us, the more dates we can offer. Prices are the same as on the trip pages.
What to bring
A small soft bag (about 15 kg per person on the small planes, hand luggage included), your passport, a hat, sunscreen, a light jacket for the early morning and a camera. For a day trip your main luggage stays at your hotel.

Can we go tomorrow?
Sometimes. Send us your hotel and the number of people on WhatsApp and we check the plane seats straight away.
Do we pay more for booking late?
The prices on the trip pages apply. If the airline charges more for the last seats on a plane, we tell you the difference before you confirm.
Luggage limit: Coastal Aviation luggage policy (15 kg including hand luggage); other airlines set similar limits.
