Overview
The longest time in the Serengeti we offer, at a camping price. Five nights in public campsites, moving with your guide to where the herds are in your month.
Camping lets you stay inside the park for much less than lodges cost, and it keeps you close to the sounds of the bush at night. Your cook prepares every meal and your crew sets up camp.
The trip opens in Tarangire and closes with a night on the crater rim and an early descent to the crater floor.

Over the highlands and into the Serengeti for five nights at public campsites. You move with your guide to where the herds are in your month, and spend the days with the lions, leopards and cheetahs of the plains.

Before you book
What are the campsites like?
Public campsites with basic shared toilets and showers. They are unfenced, inside the park, and used by many safari groups.
Where will we be in the Serengeti?
Your guide chooses campsites near the herds in your month: the south around December to March, the centre and west around May to July, and the north around July to October.
Can we upgrade some nights to lodges?
Yes, ask us to mix camping and lodge nights.
